Remove not the Ancient Landmark

The richness of our history is a heritage that is needed to be preserved. Our fathers fought and gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom, peace and harmony gained. To tear apart in a moment what is so dear to us is but a travesty; it is a stripping away of our dignity and self-worth. The bonds of love and togetherness has crafted a nation despite the turbulence that continues to endure.  Who would have thought that we would be facing this moment of crisis?

The time is upon us the moment when the decision that was made has driven us off course and we are now drifting in bewilderment and amazement the direction we are heading. All eyes are on us; the frog jump in the cold water where it became comfortable, it is now boiling and it cannot get out. When one decide not to participate the result is catastrophe. Are we the laughing stock or are we too blind and bewildered to realize the water is getting hotter and it is time to jump! Let us stand with one united voice and with a clear message; “enough is enough!” Get up stand up’ stand up and unite and don’t give up the fight!

We are under attack and it is not from the outside. So, we are afraid of the terrorist. Have you ever thought of terror within? The fabric of who we are; the good we have done will be gone in a moment because we chose to remove the ancient landmark which our fathers have built. There goes the saying, “give me liberty or give me death” which way are we heading? Is this the end of our civil society? I get it, we are too afraid to let anyone in so we will build a wall of comfort and ease while hiding in the dark afraid of our own shadows. Now we don’t want to let anyone out!

We all believe in freedom. It is said that this country was built on the idea of freedom therefore there stands a representation of what we believe. It is standing on Liberty Island. This statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the “Roman goddes” who bears a torch and a “tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the “American Declaration of Independence”, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States, and was a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad. Now times are changing and I am sure there are tears running down the eyes of this monument as it stands with hand up held even when the vision of its creator is facing a gloomy future.

No matter how rich or poor you are there is one thing that you should not change and this is the things the was implanted in you from those who have blaze the trail that you now must follow. The moments the stories and mementoes that you have been given and are now a part of who you are; the values and much more. The saying is, don’t remove the ancient landmark that your fathers have set. It is the values, the rich history and the dignity we gained with the passage of time. Can we be so naïve to think that those things do not matter? Greatness is not the ability to destroy what took centuries to build, it is the humility gained from knowing that you are around when you are needed most. Let us not tear down the landmarks our fathers have set; let us build a bridge with an outstretched arm to welcome strangers in. This is what greatness is; linking the world with peace hope and togetherness.

The scriptures said, “I was naked and you clothe me, hungry and you feed me, a stranger and you took me in

What do we mean by the old landmark? A landmark was considered a sacred space that helped perpetuate family holdings and was used as a means of protection against deceit, error, and confusion. In the ancient days, it was the custom for someone who had land adjacent to someone else to have it stolen because that other person would adjust the land mark to steal the property of the other.  The landmark was set as the boundary between the two properties. Let us look at it from another point of view! The things handed down from generations and given to us by those who have fought so that we can enjoy a good life without going through the things they had to go through. The things left for us; the values they shared and the strength and fortitude endured just so that we could live in peace and prosperity. These are the things we should hold on to; not giving in to the values that lead to nowhere but distrust and confusion.

As I sit to write what is in my heart, I share solidarity with those who are suffering because of the lack of foresight of others. Let us use the ancient landmark as a bridge of possibility to foster courage, love and respect. Let us not spread hate and fear. We are all a part of humanity, we have different shades but we are all unique. Please share the space as we endeavor to harmonize this big blue marble we call planet earth. The landmark was set as a guide we should hold it dear, guarding it at every moment or the thief will take it when you lease expect!

Vision/Visionary

I am a visionary with a vision for our world; it would make this earth a better and safer place to live. It is my hope that everyone would share in this dream of a better tomorrow, change society and reform our surroundings.

A vision is great in the hand of a visionary . We are all bless with vision and should strive to develop such. You might be mistaken to believe that vision is only limited to people with physical sight  but it is not; there are people with physical sight who have not yet discovered that inner sense of seeing but are bless a with twenty, twenty vision.

Vision is more than seeing in the natural; it is that sense of seeing things in the future with your inner spirit. The Bible says “without a vision the people perish.” Without a sense of inner consciousness we fail to achieve much and our gold to a greater destiny might be out of reach.

Without visionaries the world would be missing a vital essence which helps to create a beautiful blend and the mixture of cultures to this dynamic creation. Because of visionaries we are making tremendous strides in research, science and technology. The world has come a long way in its advancement, shaping us into a more compact and impactful community.

Visionaries are individuals’ men and women with vision! These are the folks who make things happen. They look deep within themselves and dare to dream. However without the push for advancement and accomplishment, these visions would not be transformed into reality. The world must continue to reach out in support of visionaries in their research that would help to bring the visions and dreams into manifestation and future accomplishments.

As we can see it is because of the great accomplishment of visionaries we enjoy the things we take for granted. Just in-case there are questions, I would like to ask myself to describe a vision or a visionary. A visionary is one who can envision the future. They see things beyond the present state of being. They have an inner vision of things to come. A vision is a clear distinctive and specific vision of the future. It is to have foresight or imagination.

I know that this is a big topic and one that I cannot cover here and now. Why not join the conversation and share your opinion on this topic and let the conversation begin! If you have a vision you can become a great visionary!!
