Shedding your leaves

It is sometimes fascinating to look at a leaf to examine its many layers that are sandwiched between two layers of tough skin cells. The epidermis as it is called secretes a waxy substance called the cuticle. These layers protect the leaf from insects, bacteria, and other pests. Leaves come in many sizes and shapes; they are often used to help identify plants. Some are flat and wide; others are spiky and thin.
Leaves are the powerhouse of plants. In most plants, leaves are the major site of food production for the plant. Structures within a leaf convert the energy in sunlight into chemical energy that the plant can use as food

As I look out my window I see the falling leaves as the trees prepares for a new season; they are preparing to go into hibernation. It seems strange that just a few days ago everything was in tact and in order and then with a few nights and days everything is about to change. Believe or not it is a miracle of wonders we might never be able to unravel. How do we go from very hot to a milder weather moving into the cold season and watching the leaves falling at our feet. It is a mystery to unravel. Who can deny creation? It can never be discounted no matter how much you deny there is a God. Science will always prove you wrong! In the beginning God created the earth and all that is in it by the words of his mouth. Think about it and let it marinade in your minds because it doesn’t matter how much you try you will never be able prove otherwise.

In life we all go through a natural process, seasons change and we are sometimes taken to different places in our human journey. How we react to those changes can have a great impact on us for a long time. The question is, how can we prepare for such changes? Life is filled with ups and downs but just like the weather and the changing seasons, these too will come to pass. New blossom will emerge and leaves will begin to form as we return to the brighter side of life’s experiences. Springtime will return turning our gloomy nights into bright sunny days.

As we enter this season of our excistence remember we are in a season of change. It is not always great when we are going through but at the end there will always be smiles as we land on the other side of success. We sacrifice our time in dark seasons because we know that the sun will shine again. Hope will emerge into victory; silence will turn into triumph and crying will be turned into joy.

Dry leaves makes good nutrient that is fed into the earth allowing new plants to grow. It is not alway a bad thing to lose, it can be a process to reshape and rebuild. A time to examine and come with a plan to regain our identity but we have to be willing to shed those leaves that bug us down. It is only by the shedding of leaves the process of life begins.

Our nation is going through a process of change, therefore it is the time for the shedding of leaves to make way for the rebirth of the growing process. We must be willing to prune in order to shed the heavy weight of complacency. Take up the challenges of rebirth to rebuild our nation better than before. We must resolve not to let this nation be the laughing stock of the world because of the incompetence of leaders who are frivolous and incompetent. It’s time to wake up to the urgency of the times and don’t let ignorance divide us into creatures of cruelty and dishonor. Rise up to the challenges and face the times of change that is ahead. We hold the power of change. Just like the falling leaves and the changing seasons be prepared for a new life; springtime. Falling leaves will decay but not before injecting life into the soil; something to help in the regrowth of a new beginning. Shedding leaves will bring new life into a place where darkness once exist!
